Portsmouth’s finest art gallery showcases the work of 300 of the nation’s finest artists and craftsmen. This little gem of a gallery features stained and blown glass, metal, jewelry, pottery, raku, porcelain, wood, silk, oils, watercolors, musical instruments and much more. The Gallery opens every day at 11 a.m. and is located in the old Seaboard Railroad Building at High Street Landing, the docking point for the Elizabeth River Ferry, which runs between Portsmouth and Waterside, in Norfolk, each half hour. On the first Sunday afternoon of each month, a free reception is held from 1 - 4 p.m. to open an exhibit for a nationally known visiting artist. The artist's work remains on display for the month.
