On Rte 12. 6 km east of Tyne Valley. Wooden shipbuilding display centre and museum, nature trail, mini golf, playground, river beach. Private wooded and river-front tent sites available. Camp cabins on site. Laundromat, kitchen shelter and dumping station. Campers' store, 6 km. Pets permitted on leash. Reservations accepted after April 1. Interac, MC, V accepted. Open June-Sept.

A haven for migrating waterfowl including Canada geese and black ducks, this sanctuary is a memorial to its founder Harvey Moore, known as Canada's greatest naturalist. Bird watchers may explore the nature trail. Trout fishing in back pond opens July 1. Front pond opens Aug 1. Boats, rods and bait not supplied. Advance notice requested for groups. Open June 1-Sept 15, daily, dawn to dusk. Free admission.

On Rte 22, just off Rte 2 next to Confederation Trail. Discover the natural and cultural history of PEI's first Canadian Heritage River through fascinating interpretive displays. Guided tours, educational programs, entertainment. Viewing tower, visitor information, gift shop, washrooms, public library/internet access. Gateway to exploring the Hillsborough River watershed area. Excellent canoeing, hiking/cycling on nearby trails, bird watching and nature exploration. Village of Mount Stewart offers many services for visitors. Open July-Sept, daily, 10 am-6 pm; reduced hours year round. Entrance to exhibit area by donation.
