Winter gear for less
- Seek out swaps. Many resorts, clubs and sports leagues allow people to trade or sell their unwanted gear. Keep an eye on resort bulletin boards for notices.
- Second-hand can equal savings. Check your local phone book or online directories to see if there’s a used sporting goods store in your area.
- Buy gear at the end of the season. You can spot some great deals when stores want to clear out their winter stock.
- You can find lots of great deals online. Check sites like Ebay and Craigslist.org. Be sure to read the listing carefully, ask lots of questions and check the seller's feedback rating before buying.
