THE LOVE BUG (1968)
Take one flying Volkswagen Beetle, mix in a down-on-his-luck race car driver, and blend with a cute brunette, a goofy mechanic, and a fiendish scoundrel. You've got the makings of one of Disney's most enduring movies.
It's the emotional little VW, Herbie; that makes this vintage flick both funny and heartwarming. We weep when he sulks off on his own into the night, and we cheer when his matchmaking skills finally pay off. Though this movie sparked many sequels, this is the best of the bunch, starring perennial Disney favorites like Dean Jones, Michele Lee, Buddy Hackett, and David Tomlinson.
The DVD released in 2003 includes lots of extra features, deleted scenes and much more. Fun for all ages.
