Park City, Utah
At 35 miles from Salt Lake International Airport, Park City’s accessibility can’t be beat. The resort is just three blocks from Main St., where you’ll find the Park City Museum, which focuses on the history of skiing and silver mining in the area, along with more than 100 bars, boutiques and restaurants. To add to convenience, the town ski lift can be accessed from Main St. Almost every lift will provide access to beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain, so families can ride up together, take different trails, and meet at the base, making this resort a really good choice for families with skiers of different levels. You can go all the way up to the summit with novice skiers because there’s an easy way down, using a daily groomed beginners run. Ski school starts for kids at 3 1/2 years old, and there’s a special VIP six hour "learn to ski" program for six to 13-year-olds (rentals included). There are also free shuttle runs around town, which give families with teenagers an easy and safe way to get around. Five miles from town is the seven-lane snow-tubing park. Ask about "Kids Ski and Ride Free" packages, which include three nights condo lodging, a three-day vehicle rental, and three days of lift tickets for two adults and two children for $165 per adult, per night.
