Just when you think you have Barbie figured out, along comes a movie like this. Barbie plays a dual role as two girls who look amazingly alike – Princess Anneliese and pauper Erika. Their paths cross when the Princess is captured and Erika must try to save her. This movie has everything a little girl could want: lovely Barbies, beautiful dresses, cute kitties (including one who thinks he's a dog), and catchy tunes. But most of all, it has a modern ending where the girl not only gets the prince, but decides to forgo marriage until after she pursues her singing career on a "world tour". Now that's an ending fit for a princess. 85 min. 2004.
